About Pawfect Partner LLC

Where Does Pawfect Partner LLC Stand?

Training Philosophy

As a dog training service, Pawfect Partner LLC prioritizes rewards-based learning, which means — most dogs in training start out with positive reinforcement and learning to reward what is right, adding additional expectations as they progress in training like distractions, distance, and duration of behavior.

In order to refine some behaviors like recall or off-leash skills, dogs need a clear “Yes!” and clear “No!” … but the clear “Yes!” and knowing what the right behavior is consistently has to come first.

Statement on Training Equipment

As stated previously, Pawfect Partner LLC and Ashley Geddes, the trainer, primarily stick to rewards-based learning. If you are a dog owner that is curious about using a prong or e-collar, there is no problem with asking and learning how they work to see if it would be beneficial to your circumstances.

Education is the most important part of dog training. Each training plan is created based on the needs of the owner, the needs of the dog, specific concerns and training goals, and the lifestyle that each family has.

Ashley had always been a devout animal lover, from horses to cats to dogs. Even as a child, she would spend hours studying dog breed characteristics and standards out of The Complete Book of Dogs. Did you know that the Labrador Retriever, Golden Retriever, Flat-Coated Retriever, and Curly Coated Retriever all have the same common ancestor, the St. John’s Water Dog? Well, each breed was bred over time to work in different conditions and for different retrieving purposes, so the St. John’s Water Dog was further refined into the retrievers we know and love. After working closely with horses for about 7 years, Ashley started her career in pet care. For about eight months, she worked in dog boarding where she learned a lot about the intricacies of pet care services, group play management, dog body language, and customer service in the pet care industry. Wanting a change of pace to further pursue her professional goals, Ashley accepted a position in dog training at a facility. She was mentored by a respected trainer by the name of Mandy who had three French Bulldogs and truly taught Ashley class management, how to empathize with training clients, and how to read different learning styles.

For about a year, Ashley worked as a dog trainer and taught Puppy, Beginner, and Intermediate classes and created the first draft of the business plan that would become Pawfect Partner LLC. After many months of refining, market research, and professional development, Ashley registered Pawfect Partner LLC with the State of New Jersey. She purchased a liability insurance policy for pet care services, training equipment, treats, and other necessities needed to responsibly train others and their dogs.

In October 2025, following the achievement of her Pet First Aid & CPR Certification from Animal Behavior College, Pawfect Partner LLC launched a “trial” stage where Ashley helped others for free for 4-5 lessons to refine her structure and tailor her training to community needs on a part-time basis and thus, the Pawfect Partner LLC we see today was born.

In November 2025, Ashley was officially listed as an AKC Approved Canine Good Citizen Trainer because of her background in dog behavior, pet care, and training, averaging 4-5 private training clients a week. By February 2026, Pawfect Partner LLC was operating on a full-time basis to bring affordable and educational dog training to Ocean County.

How Pawfect Partner LLC Started

Read More About The Trainer Below

“Hi, I’m Ashley, the trainer behind Pawfect Partner LLC.

What sets me apart is my focus on creating a training plan that you actually want to follow. I don’t believe in cookie-cutter programs… your dog and your lifestyle are unique, so your training plan should be too! During training, you should be having fun with your dog.

My methods are rooted in rewards-based learning, humane problem-solving strategies, and clear communication that builds confidence in both dogs and their people.

Gray tabby cat resting on a red cushion on a black wicker chair, wearing a colorful harness and leash, near a window with vertical blinds.
A calico cat wearing a pink harness and leash walking on a grassy trail.
A small dog with gray and white fur, wearing a black harness, sitting on grass with fallen leaves in a suburban neighborhood.

When I’m not training, you’ll usually find me with my two cats, Shadow and Faith, working with my dog on his behavioral quirks, playing video games, or watching TV shows like Chicago Med, Breaking Bad, or Criminal Minds. What can I say? Behavior is interesting.

My goal is simple: to make training approachable, effective, and fun, so you and your dog can enjoy the kind of partnership you’ve always imagined.”
