Training Philosophy

Training dogs is just as much teaching you as the owner and pet parent to understand and work with your dogs in the other 167 hours of the week.

Pawfect Partner LLC’s training philosophy revolves around owner education and rewards-based learning. Each dog is assessed as an individual and all training goals are kept in mind, addressed in order of priority and based on canine learning theory.

  • For puppies, adolescents, and adults alike, Private Lessons are the core service. In-Home training is tailored to your dog’s specific environment, daily routine, family dynamic, and energy level. Your trainer will meet you in your home until your dog shows a higher level of understanding with learned skills and everyday behaviors.

    Note: I do not specialize in aggression and do not have the capacity as a mobile trainer. If you are dealing with aggression, please refer to IAABC Certified Behaviorists for complex behavioral modification.

  • There are a few different options under Day Training, where your trainer works with your dog independently to help generalize behavior in new locations like parks, downtown areas, or dog friendly cafes. This lesson structure pushes dog & owner teams toward more independence in their training journey.
